In the event of a disease, veterinary rules provide for the destruction of not only a sick bird, but also all birds in the epizootic focus.
The basis for the prevention of highly pathogenic avian influenza is vaccination and compliance by the owners with the requirements for keeping poultry, including the operation of poultry farms in a closed mode.
