The Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA constantly monitors the availability of feed in the livestock sector. Currently, the campaign for their procurement is gaining momentum - the enterprises have 12.9 million tons of bulky feed units (excluding carryovers). Of these, 11.9 million tons are rough, including 6.2 million tons of hay, 5.2 million tons of haylage and 491 thousand tons of straw. 979 thousand tons of green mass for silage.

As of the current date, 7.4 centners of fodder units have been harvested per one conditional HEAD. Work is ahead of the pace in the Bryansk, Volgograd, Arkhangelsk, Smolensk, Tula, Voronezh regions, the Sakhalin region, the Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk territories, and the Republic of Crimea.

At the same time, in a number of regions of the country, unfavorable weather conditions affect the forage harvesting process. The situation is under constant control of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. In particular, the regions are recommended to conduct a detailed analysis of economic entities in terms of the availability, procurement and provision of feed, as well as to organize work on an inventory of carry-over residues.
