In the Moscow region, poultry farming has received gene pool status

The Romashino poultry complex near Moscow received the status of a gene pool farm.
“Now the complex has the official status of an enterprise specializing in preserving the gene pool and breeding poultry for breeding purposes. This will allow us to carry out genetic selection work, expand the gene pool of poultry in the country, and independently produce parent flocks and final hybrids of meat-egg breeds. Now the complex is capable of producing up to 300 thousand heads of parent stock and about 500 thousand heads of final hybrids,” said Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region Georgy Filimonov, who supervises the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
Last year, the company purchased 4 breeds, 6 lines of MEAT and egg breeds of chickens, with which selection work is being carried out , the result of which will be the regular reproduction of these breeds, the production of parent flocks and final hybrids of Dominant laying hens, as well as the production of new highly productive chicken crosses.
Previously, the HEAD of the peasant farm Roman Malkin andMinister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Vladislav Murashov signed an agreement on cooperation on the construction of a first-order loudspeaker.
The project involves the development of a poultry complex for the selection and breeding of poultry meat and egg crosses of chickens in the Shakhovskaya urban district. The production volume will be up to 1 million heads of chickens per year, as well as 13.5 million hatching eggs. The estimated volume of investment will be 1.38 billion rubles of investment.
By the end of this year, the company plans to purchase the original lines of poultry of egg breeds, which will diversify the breeding work, increase the population and begin the production of industrial laying hens to supply egg poultry farms with parent flocks and final hybrids. Production volume will increase to 500 thousand parent heads and more than 1 million final hybrids. Such production volumes will make it possible in the future to qualify for the status of a breeding poultry farm.
