The growth rate of agricultural production in the Chuvash Republic for January - March 2024 was 2.5%. Products were produced in the amount of 9.36 billion rubles. Such data were announced at a weekly meeting in the regional government.
According to Chuvashstat, in the first three months, farmers increased MILK production by 5.1% compared to the 2023 level, to 115.6 thousand tons, and eggs - by 2.6%, to 81.8 million pieces. The productivity of cows in agricultural organizations for the same period amounted to 1,861 kg, which is 3.2% higher than last year’s value; The egg production of laying hens increased by 2.4%, to 85 eggs.
According to the regional Minister of Agriculture Sergei Artamonov, 90 investment projects are planned to be implemented in the industry during the year. The initiatives are aimed at the further development of poultry farming (the project of Morgaushskaya Poultry Farm OJSC) and dairy production (construction of dairy farms of AF Kusnar JSC, the Novy Put agricultural production complex, a calf barn at VDS LLC and others). 145 jobs will be created.
At the end of March, compared to a month earlier, the number of farm animals in farms of all categories increased: cattle - by 2.0%, to 208.8 thousand heads, of which cows - by 0.3%, to 88.2 thousand heads .; pigs - by 1.4%, to 128.8 thousand heads; sheep and goats - by 10.3%, to 141.4 thousand heads. In agricultural organizations, by the beginning of April, compared to the same date in 2023, it was possible to increase the number of cattle by 4.0% (cows by 5.6%), sheep and goats by 20.4%.
This year, farmers are provided with subsidies for the development of livestock farming . This includes support for our own milk production, and a number of areas to expand the potential of breeding production, including the acquisition of breeding young stock, maintenance of breeding stock, and stud bulls. Agricultural production complex "Comintern", for example, this year increased its livestock and imported 100 heifers. They plan to reimburse part of the costs with the help of government support.
One of the largest agricultural producers in the republic, the Chebomilk agricultural complex, plans to organize the first all-Russian auction of breeding animals from July 11 to 13 in order to develop livestock breeding. As the HEAD of the enterprise, Sergei Anuchin, emphasizes, such an auction could become the basis for organizing a market for breeding animals in RUSSIA.
