Sowing campaign started in the Penza region

According to the operational information of the agronomic services, agricultural producers of the region have started the sowing campaign.
Sowing of spring grain and industrial crops has started in 8 districts of the Penza region. In Bekovsky, Belinsky, Bessonovsky, Kamensky, Kolyshleysky, Kuznetsky, Nizhnelomovsky, Shemysheysky districts of the Penza region, they started sowing spring wheat, barley, oats, peas, spring rapeseed, mustard, oil flax, SUGAR beets. Spring sowing was carried out on an area of ​​3.2 thousand hectares.
This year, spring sowing in the Penza region will be carried out on an area of ​​1125.3 thousand hectares. To ensure the complex of field work in 2023, the preparation of the necessary agricultural machinery and equipment has been provided.
Recall that seasonal field work continues in the region: farmers are harrowing the soil and fertilizing crops.
To date, winter grain crops of the 2023 harvest in the Penza region cover an area of ​​356 thousand hectares, of which winter wheat is 350 thousand hectares. As of today, winter crops have been fed on an area of ​​over 237.3 thousand hectares.
For the spring sowing of the Penza region, 102.4 thousand tons of seeds of spring crops are needed. At present, the demand for the planned structure of sown areas of spring cereals, taking into account the insurance fund, is fully provided.
