An innovative livestock training class was opened at the Nizhny Novgorod Agricultural Academy (NGSKhA) with the support of DeLaval and the Shakhunskoye Moloko agricultural holding.
Nikolai Denisov, Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, took part in its grand opening.
“Further development of the agro-industrial complex cannot be imagined without highly qualified personnel who understand the latest trends in animal husbandry, agronomy, and mechanization. Attracting young people to the industry, who own the most modern technologies, is one of our main tasks. Students must leave universities and technical schools prepared for work in the fields and on farms, so an important part of agricultural education is the presence of a strong practical base. The training class that appeared today at the Agricultural Academy is focused on the practical component. The most modern equipment is presented here, which allows future specialists to master advanced technologies from their student days,” Nikolai Denisov noted.
The new classroom has been refurbished and equipped with illustrative examples of modern milking machines and installations demonstrating the full cycle of MILK production.
“We signed an agreement with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region on cooperation in terms of developing dairy farming in the region based on the introduction of modern technologies. The creation of a training class at the academy is one of the steps in this direction. We hope that its appearance will raise the level of knowledge of students of an agricultural university and will contribute to the development of the Nizhny Novgorod dairy industry,” said Mikhail Kamyshny, General DIRECTOR of DeLaval.
Acting Rector of the Nizhny Novgorod State Agricultural Academy Nikolai Barmin noted that the new classroom will be a great contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel for the region's agricultural enterprises.
“The appearance of classrooms with the most advanced technologies became possible thanks to the work of the Board of Trustees of the university, the creation of which made it possible to combine the efforts of the regional government and the heads of the leading agricultural enterprises in the region to modernize and strengthen the material and technical base of the university, without which it is impossible to train personnel that meet the requirements of a modern employer” - said Nikolai Barmin.
And about. The rector also said that in the near future the academy is preparing to open another training class, which is being implemented with the support of the Russian Field company. It will be equipped with equipment that will allow students to get acquainted with the full cycle of the poultry enterprise - from laying eggs in an incubator to raising productive birds.
Recall that the Board of Trustees of the National Agricultural Academy was established at the beginning of this year, which included the heads of the leading agricultural enterprises in the region. Andrey Sanosyan, deputy governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, has been appointed its chairman.
