In the Nizhny Novgorod region, preparations for the spring sowing campaign are being completed.
The farms of the region prepare seed material and buy fertilizers. More than 70% of mineral fertilizers from the planned volume have already been purchased. Provision for seeds of grain crops is 95%. Seed preparation continues.
“Preparation for the sowing campaign is in full swing. In connection with the current situation, control and feedback channels with manufacturers have been strengthened,” said Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the region Nikolai Denisov stressed that the farms have all the necessary machinery and equipment to carry out field work. To date, the readiness of equipment for field work is 90%.
“In recent years, farmers have significantly upgraded their machine and tractor fleet. Over the past year, only within the framework of the regional program, 850 units of equipment were purchased in the amount of more than 4 billion rubles. The volume of subsidies exceeded 680 million rubles,” said Nikolai Denisov.
In addition, following the results of last year, the Nizhny Novgorod region became the leader in terms of supplies of agricultural machinery under the federal leasing program. As a result of the interaction of agricultural producers with JSC Rosagroleasing, in 2021, applications for 282 pieces of equipment were approved in the amount of 1.4 billion rubles.
