In the Nizhny Novgorod region, over 700 million rubles are planned to be allocated in 2024 to update the machine and tractor fleet

Over 700 million rubles are planned to be allocated in 2024 to update the region’s machine and tractor fleet.
Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Gleb Nikitin noted that taking into account the market situation, a decision was made to increase the rates for reimbursement of part of the costs of purchasing equipment, as well as to expand the range of subsidized equipment and equipment.
“Nizhny Novgorod farmers annually replenish their equipment fleet and purchase modern machines that allow them to obtain good results. We, in turn, are trying not only to increase the volume of support, but also to improve the mechanisms for providing it depending on the needs of farmers,” said Gleb Nikitin.
As part of the state program “Development of the agro-industrial complex of the Nizhny Novgorod region”, there is a subsidy mechanism for the purchase of agricultural machinery - farmers are compensated for up to 50% of the purchase costs. The amount of the subsidy depends on the type of equipment.
“Based on the results of the first quarter of this year, agricultural enterprises in the region purchased 344 units of equipment for a total amount of 1.6 billion rubles. Tractors, grain and forage harvesters, seeding systems, and other equipment were purchased,” he said.Minister of Agriculture and Food Resources of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Nikolay Denisov.
Let us remind you that the 2024 budget provides 6.1 billion rubles to support the agro-industrial complex and the development of rural areas of the Nizhny Novgorod region, of which 4.2 billion rubles are allocated from the regional budget, 1.9 billion are federal subsidies.
