In the first two months of the year, ice cream exports from the Moscow Region increased by 18.6% in value terms, compared to the same period last year. During this period, enterprises in the region shipped more than 599 tons of this product abroad.
"The Moscow Region is the leader in RUSSIA in ice cream production, holding first place for the fifth year in a row. We have eight major producers operating in our region, whose products are represented both in the regions of the country and abroad. Based on the results of the first two months of the year, the key trading partners were the Republic of Belarus , which accounted for over 23% of the total ice cream exports from the region, Kazakhstan - over 16%, Azerbaijan - 5.4%. Also, about 2% of ice cream was exported to Armenia, and more than 1% to Turkmenistan," he specified.Sergey Dvoynykh, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region,
added that last year's ice cream production exceeded 108,000 tons, and this year's figure is planned to increase by 4%. Regional enterprises produce more than 18% of the ice cream available on the Russian market, from classic ice cream and popsicles to various flavors in wafer bars and cones. Production is carried out by Il Mio Morozhenko LLC, Chistaya Liniya LLC, Dmitrovsky Dairy Plant JSC, Froneri Rus LLC, Bogorodsky Khladokombinat LLC, LAGUNA KOIL LLC, Erman LLC, and Rostagrokompleks LLC.
