The Ministry of Agriculture held a meeting of the commission on state variety testing
On October 27, 2021, a commission meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Penza Region to prepare proposals based on the results of state testing or expert evaluation of the economic usefulness of varieties, recommendations on amending the State Register of Breeding Achievements for the 7th region. The work of the commission was headed by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Penza Region, Eduard Katashov, and the chairman of the commission, the HEAD of the branch of the State Sort Commission in the Penza Region, Sergey Pyatkov.
The work of the commission is carried out in order to increase the efficiency of fulfilling the state task for conducting state tests of varieties of agricultural plants, as well as preparing proposals based on the results of state tests of the economic usefulness of varieties.
As part of the commission’s meeting, based on the results of state variety trials for 2020-2021, 38 varieties were proposed for inclusion in the State Register of Breeding Achievements.
The commission included representatives of the Penza branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhoztsentr", the Federal State Budgetary Institution GCAS "Penzensky", the OP of the Penza Research Institute of Agriculture, and the Penza State Agrarian University.
