The Ministry of Agriculture of Russia discussed the development of exports of agricultural products in the regions of the Volga Federal District

The Ministry of Agriculture of RUSSIA summed up the results of the implementation of the federal project "Export of agricultural products" in the Volga Federal District in 2020, and also discussed the implementation of current targets. The meeting, chaired by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sergei Levin, was attended by representatives of the regional authorities of the agro-industrial complex.

Last year, the subjects of the Volga Federal District exported agricultural products worth almost $2 billion. At the same time, EXPORT targets were achieved by nine regions: the republics of Bashkortostan and Mordovia, the Orenburg, Penza, Ulyanovsk, Saratov and Samara regions, the Perm Territory, and the Chuvash Republic. As of August 22, the volume of exports of the Volga Federal District amounted to $1.4 billion. Leading rates are shown by the Samara, Saratov and Orenburg regions, the republics of Mordovia and Udmurtia, the Chuvash Republic.

According to Sergei Levin, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia provides constant methodological assistance to the regions. Most of the subjects have already completed work on detailing project indicators to the level of specific enterprises. At the same time, the Deputy Minister called for intensifying work on the creation of regional export working groups - today they have been formed in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Nizhny Novgorod and Saratov regions.
