The Ministry of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region hosted the Regional Agronomic Conference - one of the main annual industry events on the eve of seasonal field work. The participants discussed measures to prepare and conduct the sowing campaign. The main task is to ensure a high volume of production of raw materials for the stable operation of processing enterprises.
“We are starting preparations for the new agricultural season in the face of sanctions pressure. We have a clear task before us – to ensure the food security of our region, the reliable operation of the agro-industrial complex of the South Urals. Our region has powerful resources and serious potential for the development and stable operation of the agro-industrial complex. The level of food self-sufficiency in the region is one of the highest in the country. This year, state support for the agricultural sector will be significantly strengthened from both the federal and regional budgets,” Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexei Teksler addressed the meeting participants.
The key tasks in the current year are to increase the production of grain (the plan is 1 million 768 thousand tons), oilseeds (170 thousand tons), potatoes (109.5 thousand tons), greenhouse and field vegetables (74.6 thousand tons). ).
it is planned to achieve such results by increasing the yield and increasing the sown area. Thus, the wedge under wheat and barley will grow by 12 thousand and 23 thousand hectares, respectively. The largest areas over the past 8 years will be allocated to durum wheat, which, under favorable conditions, will make it possible to obtain about 200 thousand tons of grain and ensure the pasta production of the region by 60% - 70%. It is planned to put into circulation at least 8 thousand hectares of unused land (143.5 thousand hectares will be returned from 2017).
State support is directed to support the production of crop products. This year, the payment of subsidies began two months earlier than in previous years, already in March. And the volume of preferential short-term loans issued to South Ural farmers has already exceeded 8 billion rubles.
On the eve of the sowing season, the main issues of the meeting were the provision of seeds, machinery, fertilizers, plant protection products. There is a serious technical base for carrying out spring field work in the region. New equipment has already been purchased by 40% more than in the same period last year. By 224.3 million rubles - up to 315 million rubles in 2022, the volume of the regional subsidy for the purchase of equipment will increase. Part of this amount, 8 million rubles, is used to subsidize the acquisition of information and analytical systems. The subsidy for the purchase of mineral fertilizers and agrochemical analysis of soils has been doubled to 200 million rubles. Prices for mineral fertilizers are fixed until May 1. The bulk of the volumes have already been purchased or contracted. There are 211.5 thousand tons of seeds of grain and leguminous crops - 90% of the need. Information about regional and Russian suppliers of seeds is promptly brought by the Ministry to the district departments of agriculture. Subsidies for elite seeds this year will amount to 56 million rubles.
Anatoly Litovchenko , Acting HEAD of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR Office for the Chelyabinsk and Kurgan Regions , provided up-to-date information on legislation in the field of crop production . There were also reports on scientific support of agricultural production, innovations in the field of seed production, and technologies for growing crops. The ZenAgro agricultural marketplace project presented at the meeting will help agricultural producers in promoting products, in legal and accounting support for production.
