The growth in agricultural production in 2023 in the Leningrad region amounted to 14%, goods worth 410.2 billion rubles were produced. The volume of state support increased by 17% and amounted to 6.232 billion rubles. The average monthly salary in agriculture increased by 17% to 64.5 thousand rubles.
“The agro-industrial complex of the Leningrad region completed 2023 with successful results. For this we are deeply grateful to our workers. We have been working with you over the past few years in difficult times, but, nevertheless, we are annually strengthening the status of the Leningrad region as one of the largest agricultural regions of the country and the largest agricultural region in the North-West. And, of course, we need to continue to fight and improve our performance in order to maintain our leading positions. 2024 will not be easy. Now we need to prepare for spring field work in optimal agrotechnical terms. We must understand that the increase in production volumes in all key indicators must continue. We must ensure the country's food security. Today this is already the strategic, political and military security of the country,” Alexander Drozdenko set goals for the new agricultural year.
The agro-industrial complex of the Leningrad Region is the main producer of food in the North-Western Federal District and maintains its leading position among the regions of Russia: 1st place - in MILK yield per forage cow, egg production.
State support for the agro-industrial complex of the Leningrad region in 2023 amounted to 6.232 billion rubles. (+936 million rubles to the level of 2022), from the regional budget - 5.247 billion rubles. (+667 million rubles). Financing of the program for the comprehensive development of rural areas - 1.605 billion rubles, from the regional budget - 1.263 billion rubles. Tax revenues for budgets of all levels by the end of 2023 will increase by 1.1 billion rubles. (by 6.1%) to 19 billion rubles.
