The only enterprise in Kuzbass for the production of rabbit meat is LLC "Green Valley" of the Kemerovo municipal district. As of January 1, 2023, the number of rabbits is just over 6 thousand. The production of rabbits for slaughter (in live weight) for 2022 amounted to 36 tons.
Unusual areas of poultry farming also continue to develop. For example, a workshop for growing Peking ducks operates at Kuzbass Broiler LLC. There are 12 halls with a total number of birds within 40 thousand heads. Duck legs, duck breasts, sets for stews, as well as carcasses are produced. The production of duck meat for slaughter (in live weight) for 2022 amounted to 964.2 tons.
“This is the only duck meat production in Kuzbass. Due to the uniqueness, this is a promising area of ​​work, and given the course towards import substitution, such production helps to increase the food supply of the region in various areas, ”comments Andrey Aritkulov, Minister of Agriculture and Processing Industry of Kuzbass.
In addition to duck meat, there are single productions of goose meat in Kuzbass. For example, K(F)Kh Evgeny Vladimirovich Kochetygov has been breeding geese for more than five years. The meat is sold in raw form (carcasses and offal), canned meat is also produced. Hatching eggs, live chickens, goose down are sold.
Recall that two industrial (Belovskoye Fisheries LLC and Siberian Investment Group LLC) and 40 pond fish farms are actively operating in the region. In 2022, 979 tons of marketable fish were produced in the region. For comparison, in 2021 the figure was 968 tons.
