In Kuzbass began collecting spring crops and vegetables

In the farms of the Belovsky, Guryevsky, Kemerovo, Krapivinsky, Leninsk-Kuznetsky, Mariinsky, Novokuznetsky, Prokopevsky, Promyshlennovsky, Chebulinsky and Yurginsky districts, spring crops have been threshed. 5.8 thousand hectares of barley have already been harvested (19.4 thousand tons have been harvested); 4.2 thousand hectares of peas (12.5 thousand tons harvested); 626 hectares of wheat (1.1 thousand tons harvested) and 405 hectares of oats (1.1 thousand tonnes harvested).
“We are doing a lot of work to increase the food security of the region. In the spring, we helped farmers with the purchase of mineral fertilizers, we provide state support to farmers, we introduce unclaimed lands into agricultural circulation, we renew the fleet of agricultural machinery, we introduce new technologies, we increase productivity. Kuzbass residents should be provided with a large supply of bread. Last year's grain harvest in Kuzbass exceeded 1.5 million tons. This year, farmers have been tasked with harvesting at least 1.7 million. This is especially important in the current economic conditions,” said Sergey Tsivilev, Governor of Kuzbass.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Kuzbass, as of August 12, 21.8 thousand hectares (3.5% of the plan) were harvested in the region of grain and leguminous crops, 65.9 thousand tons of grain were harvested with an average yield of 30.3 centners per hectare. The farmers of the Kemerovo municipal district were the first to start harvesting spring wheat. More than 30,000 hectares of spring crops are to be harvested here. In addition to spring crops, farmers harvest winter crops - 5.5 thousand hectares of winter rye have been threshed (14.5 thousand tons have been threshed), 5.3 thousand hectares of winter wheat (17.2 thousand tons of grain have been threshed). At the moment, the Promyshlenovsky District shows the highest harvesting rates - 3.6 thousand hectares of fields have been threshed there. In terms of yield, the Guryev district is the leader with an indicator of 42.7 centners per hectare. In total, farmers will have to harvest almost 615,000 hectares of grain and leguminous crops during this harvest.
Along with grain crops, agrarians also harvest technical ones - 4.2 thousand tons of winter rape have been threshed (6 thousand tons have been threshed). Ahead is the harvesting of spring oilseeds from an area of ​​162,000 hectares. The harvesting of early-ripening varieties of potatoes and vegetables was also launched - 1.8 thousand tons of potatoes were harvested from an area of ​​108 hectares, and 123 tons of vegetables from 13 hectares of fields.
Under favorable weather conditions, the farmers plan to complete the work at the end of the second decade of October.
In parallel with the harvesting work, the villagers are already laying the foundation for the 2023 harvest: they have planted winter crops in the Krapivinsky, Leninsk-Kuznetsky and Tyazhinsky districts, sown 1.2 thousand hectares of rye and colza. The procurement of fodder for farm animals also continues. Grasses were cut on an area of ​​104.7 thousand hectares, 85.3 thousand tons of hay were harvested (78.9% of the required), 232.3 thousand tons of haylage (73.1%).
