Rice harvesting has started in the Krasnodar Territory

The Governor of the region Veniamin Kondratiev spoke about the readiness of the rice-growing farms of the Kuban for the harvest.

“Rice-growing enterprises of the region have already started technical water discharge. We plan to complete the harvesting campaign by October 20. To date, rice crops are in good condition - traditionally 100% of the variety of domestic selection. The sown area in the current year amounted to 118.2 thousand hectares. We expect to harvest rice not lower than last year's level,” the HEAD of the region said.

Veniamin Kondratiev noted that today there are enough equipment for cleaning - about 1.9 thousand units are involved. 708 combine harvesters have been prepared, 414 machines will mow the rice, and about 750 trucks will be used for EXPORT. The necessary volume of fuels and lubricants has also been prepared.
