14 organizations and farms of the region demonstrated more than 40 heads of breeding cattle. In the competition for the title of the best in the profession, 28 specialists competed - machine milking operators, herd reproduction operators and livestock breeders.
The event was opened at a breeding station with the participation of the HEAD of the Komi Republic Vladimir Uyba, the Minister of Agriculture and the Consumer Market of the Komi Republic Alexei Butkin, the DIRECTOR of the RGUSP "Komi" for breeding Franz Zainchkovsky.
Stud bulls, young cattle, horses, sheep were presented at the exhibition of breeding animals. Also, the exposition was decorated with goats, deer, horses, rabbits, birds and fish. Visitors to the exhibition could purchase the "exhibits" they liked by agreement with the owners. And the fish you liked could not only be bought, but also caught on the spot.
“Today, every region of RUSSIA is faced with the task of maintaining the stability of food security and accelerating the pace of import substitution. Therefore, we pay special attention to the development of the agricultural sector, including our own breeding farms,” Vladimir Uyba noted in his speech, welcoming the participants of the event.
After the official part, the main events started. They were held on the basis of several enterprises: the Republican State Unitary Enterprise for Breeding, the Institute for Retraining and Advanced Training of Agro-Industrial Complex Workers of the Republic of Komi, as well as at the livestock farms of Prigorodny LLC in Syktyvkar and Syktyvdinskoye LLC in Shoshka.
Participants in the competition of professional skills competed in assembling and disassembling the milking machine, in milking cows.
“Skill competitions are important and necessary, it is not only the personal growth of the specialist himself, but also the emergence of qualified mentors for young personnel on the farms,” Alexei Butkin, Minister of Agriculture and Consumer Market of the Komi Republic, addressed the contestants.
