About 178 million rubles of budget funds this year were directed to livestock farms in Kabardino-Balkaria in the form of subsidies to reimburse part of the costs of breeding breeding stock of agricultural animals: poultry, beef and dairy cattle, horses, yaks, sheep, fish. The volume of state support for this area exceeded the funding of the previous year by 25.5 million rubles.
This year, 22 breeding farms of Kabardino-Balkaria received state support.
According to the head of the Republican Ministry of Agriculture Khasan Sizhazhev, this subsidy will be a good help to farmers working in this direction. “Pedigree animal husbandry is an integral part of the effective development of modern animal husbandry. Subsidies for breeding breeding stock of agricultural animals help to increase livestock production through the use of highly productive breeds, so the development of breeding livestock is one of the priorities for the development of the industry. With the increase in the volume of state support, the number of its recipients is growing, in 2021 18 breeding farms were subsidized,” Kh. Sizhazhev explained.
