A new livestock complex for 500 cows with a Yolochka milking parlor was put into operation at the agricultural enterprise SPK Frunze in the Rodnikovsky district
. The investment project is one of four already implemented in the Ivanovo region in 2025. Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ivanovo region Denis Cherkesov got acquainted with the work of the new complex.
"In 2025, the construction of four dairy complexes has already been completed in the region. Currently, eight more enterprises are building livestock facilities. Since the beginning of the year, MILK production in the region has increased by almost 5% compared to the same period last year. Taking into account the completion of construction, we expect an increase in production by the end of this year," Denis Cherkesov said.
The deputy chairman added that dairy farming is the main direction in agriculture in the Ivanovo region: we have suitable natural and climatic conditions for growing feed and the experience of our farmers allows us to get a decent result.
The dairy complex for 500 cows in the Frunze agricultural production cooperative began operating at full capacity this year. Now, the cows are kept in loose housing.
Denis Cherkesov inspected the dairy complex, talked to the HEAD of the agricultural enterprise Mikhail Dokuchaev, and discussed plans for the development of the farm with him. "In the new complex, the animals have been transferred to the loose housing technology, which allows for greater productivity from the cows. As a rule, when switching from tethered to loose housing, farms receive an increase in milk productivity in the first months by 10-15%. This is a significant figure for the economy of the enterprise," Denis Cherkesov noted.
Mikhail Dokuchaev added that the farm has implemented a herd management system, and cows are milked in the Yolochka milking parlor with 24 milking stalls. The plans include building a calf barn for keeping young animals up to three months for 120 heads; design and estimate documentation is currently being developed.
As of July 1, the total number of cattle in the farm was 1,150 heads, including 490 heads of cows. Over the first six months of the current year, 1.5 thousand tons of milk were produced, with 3,030 kg of milk obtained from one cow. The agricultural enterprise's sown area is 1.9 thousand hectares. The farm grows wheat, barley, oats and forage crops.
