According to the results of 2024 , the region's farmers collected 92.6 tons of berries, which is 6.2% more than in the previous year.
The farms of the Shuya district collected 44.9 tons of berries, Komsomolsky - 38.3 tons, Yuryevetsky - 6 tons and Lezhnevsky - 3.4 tons.
The main crops grown are currants and honeysuckle, they also grow garden strawberries, raspberries and gooseberries.
"The interest of farmers in berry crops is growing every year. Over seven years, the area of ​​​​fruit and berry plantations in the Ivanovo region has increased almost 19 times, to 74.9 hectares, including 22.8 hectares in fruiting age," said Sergei Bubnov, a member of the government of the Ivanovo region and DIRECTOR of the department of agriculture and food of the region.
Planting and growing berry crops in the region are carried out by farms in the Shuya, Lezhnevsky, Komsomolsky, Yuryevetsky and Teikovsky districts. The largest are the Potapov family farm in the Lezhnevsky district with an area of ​​​​38.5 hectares of berry plantings and the Shuyskie Yagody farm - 20.8 hectares.
A number of government support measures are in place to develop the fruit and berry industry in the region. These include subsidies to support perennial plantings, grants and subsidies for the development of family farms and Agrostartup grants, preferential short-term and investment lending affecting all stages of production, storage and processing of fruit and berry products. In addition, berry producers can obtain the necessary equipment on preferential leasing terms.
it should be noted that in 2024, 8.6 million rubles in subsidies were sent to fruit and berry crop producers in the Ivanovo region for planting perennial plantings. In 2025, 13.5 million rubles are allocated for this area.
