Livestock production increased in Ivanovo region

Over the first five months of this year, regional agricultural producers increased the volume of livestock production compared to the same period last year.
The production of livestock and poultry in farms of all categories amounted to 16.5 thousand tons in live weight, an increase of 2% compared to January-May 2021. The growth of indicators is due to the increase in the production of cattle MEAT (+11%) and poultry meat (+4.3%).
In addition, over five months, MILK production increased by 0.5% in farms of all categories. In total, 62.9 thousand tons of milk were produced, including 51.5 thousand tons (+1.1%) in agricultural organizations. The largest volume of milk production was provided by the farms of Gavrilovo-Posadsky - 16.9 thousand tons (+7.7%) and Shuisky - 8.1 thousand tons (+2%) districts.
Milk yield in agricultural organizations of the region as of June 1 per one forage cow amounted to 2,900 kg, which is 128 kg more than a year earlier (+4.6%). High indicators of milk productivity of cows are noted in the farms of Gavrilovo-Posadsky - 3,755 kg / HEAD. (+1.5%), Ilyinsky - 3,625 kg / head. (+3.5%) and Savinsky - 3,292 kg/head. (+5.6%) districts.
The implementation of investment projects will further contribute to maintaining positive dynamics in the industry. Thus, this year, the Rassvet SPK plans to put into operation the first stage and build the second stage of a livestock farm for 600 head of cattle. In the Ilyinsky district, CJSC Garskoye is building a livestock breeding complex for 800 heads of cattle. These projects, when reaching full production capacity, will create 1,800 new cattle places for the dairy herd and receive an additional 15.2 thousand tons of milk annually.
it should be noted that the poultry farms of the region fully meet the needs of the population in egg products, according to the results of five months of this year, they increased the volume of egg production to 173 million pieces (+1.1%).
