The agricultural sector continues to see growth in livestock production.
Over the first five months of 2025, farms of all categories increased egg production by 8%, MILK by 5%, and livestock and poultry by 2.1% compared to the same period last year.
Thus, in January-May, the Ivanovo region produced 186.8 million eggs, 70.2 thousand tons of milk, and 21.7 thousand tons of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight.
"The growth trend in dairy farming is due to the construction of new dairy complexes and the growth of livestock milk productivity. In 2025, 4 new dairy farms were commissioned in the Ivanovo, Rodnikovsky, and Shuya districts. Another 8 enterprises are building new livestock facilities. The growth in egg production was achieved by increasing the breeding stock of highly productive crosses at JSC Kineshemskaya Poultry Farm, said Sergei Bubnov, member of the Ivanovo Region Government and DIRECTOR
of the Regional Department of Agriculture and Food. As a reminder, direct subsidies to reimburse expenses, preferential loans and leasing, grants for small businesses and other government support measures are provided for the development of the livestock industry. Since the beginning of the year, farmers have received 118.9 million rubles in milk production
subsidies , over 67 million rubles to support livestock breeding, over 27.7 million rubles to purchase livestock breeding products and reimburse part of the costs of insuring farm animals. In total, the region's farmers have received 75% of the annual limit of subsidies to support livestock production.
