Sowing campaign started in Ivanovo region

Sowing of spring crops has begun in nine districts of the Ivanovo region. To date, about 1.5 thousand hectares have been sown in the region as a whole. Sowing rates are higher than last year.
The sowing campaign takes place regularly and in optimal agrotechnical terms. Spring sowing has started in Verkhnelandekhovsky, Vichugsky, Gavrilovo-Posadsky, Kineshma, Komsomolsky, Palekhsky, Rodnikovsky, Teikovsky and Shuisky districts. Farms conduct spring sowing of wheat, barley, oats and leguminous crops.
The entire sown area in 2022, according to the forecast, will exceed 200 thousand hectares, including spring sowing will be carried out on 72.5 thousand hectares. (+0.7 thousand ha compared to 2021). Almost 29 thousand hectares of land were sown with winter crops for the 2022 harvest.
it is planned to increase grain crops by 5.2 thousand hectares (+8% compared to last year), vegetables - by 40 hectares (+11% compared to last year) and potatoes - by 170 hectares (+18% compared to last year) .
In addition, the farmers of the region carry out top dressing, harrowing of winter crops and perennial grasses, preparing the soil for sowing. Winter crops are fed with mineral fertilizers on an area of ​​7.7 thousand hectares, perennial grasses - on an area of ​​5 thousand hectares. According to the latest operational data, the state of winter crops is assessed as good and satisfactory throughout the area.
Work is underway to disinfect seed material. A total of 795 tons of seeds of grain and leguminous crops were treated. Provision with seeds of spring cereals and leguminous crops is 87.8%.
In general, 3.1 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers (in the active substance) or 71% of the need were purchased in the region. Work on the conclusion of contracts and the purchase of mineral fertilizers continues.
Since the beginning of this year, farmers have also purchased 40 units of agricultural equipment, including 10 tractors, grain and forage harvesters, 28 units of other agricultural equipment.
