In the Ziminsky district of the Irkutsk region, a new industrial poultry workshop was opened on the basis of the poultry farm for egg productivity of the Okinsky agricultural production complex. The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Irkutsk Region Vladimir Chitorkin andMinister of Agriculture of the Angara region Ilya Sumarokov.
The poultry farm has completed the implementation of an investment project for the reconstruction of a poultry workshop for the industrial keeping of laying hens. Thanks to the reconstruction and expansion of the workshop, the number of poultry in the spacious premises will additionally increase by another 60 thousand heads of laying hens. Before reconstruction, the poultry workshop housed about 32 thousand birds.
“The volume of investment for the reconstruction and modernization of the workshop amounted to 80 million rubles. it is worth noting that the production facility for keeping and feeding poultry is fully equipped with domestically produced equipment,” emphasized Vladimir Chitorkin.
The new capacity of the poultry shop will allow the poultry farm to produce an additional 25 million chicken eggs per year.
The HEAD of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, Ilya Sumarokov, noted that in the Irkutsk region there are an average of 338 eggs per laying hen per year. This is 7.3% higher than the national average.
“Today, the Irkutsk region is fully self-sufficient in chicken eggs, maintaining its high production volume - almost 1 billion eggs per year, and in terms of this indicator ranks 17th in the country and 4th in the Siberian Federal District,” said Ilya Sumarokov.
Due to the addition of new equipment and capacity to the workshop, as well as an increase in the number of laying hens at the poultry farm, labor productivity will also increase.
Speaking about support for the industry, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Chitorkin noted that in 2024 , the regional Ministry of Agriculture is considering the issue of providing state support measures aimed at the poultry industry of the Angara region in order to increase the efficiency of its work. In addition, the issues of personnel training of specialists and their retention in the agro-industrial complex of the Irkutsk region remain a priority for the region.
“The regional government pays great attention to this topic. Today, personnel training for in-demand specialists, including for poultry farms in the region, is carried out by the Irkutsk State Agrarian University, the Irkutsk Agrarian College, and the Zalarinsky Agro-Industrial College,” noted Vladimir Chitorkin.
Let us remind you that in the Irkutsk region there are five poultry farming organizations, of which two are egg-producing poultry farms and three are meat-producing poultry farms.
