Thanks to grant support from Agrostartup, a farm in the Ivanovo region is growing Russian-bred gladiolus bulbs.

During a working visit to the Lezhnevsky District, Denis Cherkesov, Deputy Chairman of the Ivanovo Region Government, and members of the regional parliament visited Oksana Vasenina's gladiolus farm.
Denis Cherkesov learned about the gladiolus cultivation technology, assessed the effectiveness of government support measures, and discussed the farm's development prospects.
According to Oksana Vasenina, gladiolus bulbs—almost 300 varieties of planting material—have been planted on 5 hectares of land. The farmer plans to expand her cultivation area in the future: the purchase of a plot of land and its commercialization are being considered.
The cultivated corms are sold throughout RUSSIA through their own online store, as well as at festivals and fairs. In addition to gladiolus bulbs, the farm sells cut flowers, offers tours, and hosts photo sessions on the farm.
According to Denis Cherkesov, the regional budget has allocated 177 million rubles to support small farms and agricultural cooperatives in 2025, with farmers having already received 85% of this funding. Nineteen farms received state support in the form of Agrostartup grants and grants for the development of family farms; four farmers and 10 agricultural consumer cooperatives took advantage of subsidies to offset their costs.
Oksana Vasenina's farm will also participate in the flower festival on August 23 in Lezhnevo. The farmer will present her produce and share her experience and secrets in growing gladioli.
