The Ministry of Agriculture of the Chelyabinsk Region is finishing accepting documents for a subsidy to compensate for the purchase of mineral fertilizers. The subsidy will be paid to farmers in September.
Effective use of fertilizers is the most important condition for the stability of agricultural production and high yields. Therefore, subsidies are paid annually for this area from the regional budget. By decision of the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexey Teksler, their volume has been significantly increased since 2020. In 2024 , the total amount of subsidies is 190 million rubles.
The subsidy is aimed at reproducing and improving the fertility of agricultural land, so it helps farmers not only compensate for the purchase of mineral fertilizers, but also conduct an agrochemical survey of soils in order to scientifically calculate nutrient requirements.
This year, South Ural farmers have already purchased 24.53 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers in physical weight. Thanks to the subsidy, farmers will be able to compensate up to 40% of the costs of mineral fertilizers purchased for application to potatoes and field vegetables, up to 70% of fertilizers applied to durum wheat, and up to 30% of the costs of fertilizers applied to other crops. Up to 50% of the costs of conducting an agrochemical soil survey are reimbursed.
