The total area of ​​spring crops in the Chelyabinsk region in 2022, according to preliminary data, was 1 million 803 thousand hectares. This is 78.5 thousand hectares more than last year, and 27 thousand hectares more than planned. The rains promise a good harvest, so the farmers, as promised, sowed the maximum possible area of ​​arable land with spring crops.
The area of ​​grain and leguminous crops increased by 33.7 thousand hectares compared to last year, the area of ​​oilseeds - by 42 thousand hectares. Not so significantly, but still increased in relation to last year's planting of potatoes and vegetables. Agricultural enterprises and farms planted potatoes and vegetables on a total area of ​​8.24 thousand hectares.
Farmers from Argayashsky, Bredinsky, Varna, Kartalinsky, Kizilsky, Krasnoarmeisky, Kunashaksky, Nagaybaksky, Nyazepetrovsky, Oktyabrsky, Sosnovsky, Troitsky, Uvelsky and Chebarkulsky districts completed sowing with overfulfillment of their own plans. The largest wedge of spring crops is occupied by crops in the Bredinsky (194 thousand hectares), Kizilsky (177.2 thousand hectares) and Troitsky (175.5) districts.
Summer crops will also be produced in June-July. At the end of June, forage harvesting will begin. Recall that the Chelyabinsk region ranks first among the regions of the Ural Federal District in terms of arable land and 15th in the Russian Federation.
