In the Department of Agriculture of the Bryansk Region, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture of the Bryansk Region Vadim Goryainov, a regional seminar-meeting was held on the prevention and treatment of bee diseases using innovative methods, the use of modern technical means in beekeeping.
The seminar was attended by specialists from the Department of Agriculture, the regional veterinary department, the Rosselkhoznadzor department for the Bryansk, Smolensk and Kaluga regions, a scientist from the Bryansk State Agrarian University, experts from the Bryansk branch of the FGBI "ARRIAH", beekeepers from the Bryansk region.
In his speech, Vadim Goryainov, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture of the Bryansk Region, noted that more than 60,000 bee colonies are kept in private farms in the Bryansk Region. About 1000 beekeepers are engaged in beekeeping.
Nikolai Artamonov, General Director of Beekeeper LLC, in his speech emphasized that in the region, communication between beekeepers and heads of agricultural enterprises has recently improved significantly, which has greatly contributed to a decrease in cases of poisoning of bees with pesticides and agrochemicals during chemical treatments of crops.
Denis Dudarek, a representative of the Veterinary Department of the Bryansk Region, told the audience about the prevention of bee diseases, Rimma Kazachkova, the chief veterinarian of the bacteriology department of the Bryansk testing laboratory of the FGBI "ARRIAH", spoke about the laboratory diagnosis of bee diseases. The guest of the seminar Kirill Bogomolov, General Director of OKB "Apisfera-M", Ryazan, made an interesting presentation on the fight against varroatosis of bees and instrumental insemination of queen bees.
An experienced Bryansk beekeeper from the Komarichsky district, Alexander Lange, spoke about the importance of bee products for human health and the possibilities of apitherapy.
Within the framework of the event, an exhibition and sale of beekeeping products, special literature, equipment and inventory was organized.
The event was held in the mode of a lively and open dialogue. Many relevant questions for beekeepers were asked.
