Andrey Knorr, Deputy Governor of the Tomsk Region for Agro-Industrial Policy and Environmental Management, checked the preparations for spring field work in Asinovsky and Pervomaisky districts.
The sown area in agricultural enterprises and farms in 2022 in the Asinovsky district will amount to 23.4 thousand hectares, in Pervomaisky - 23.2 thousand hectares. The total area under crops will increase by more than 5%.
Grain and leguminous crops in Asinovsky will be sown on 12.8 thousand hectares (111.3% compared to 2021), in Pervomaisky district - 11.3 thousand hectares (119.6%). The area under fodder crops in the Asinovsky district will increase to 8517 hectares (104.6%).
In total, 53,534 tons of organic fertilizers were taken to the fields in two districts, and 2,556 tons of mineral fertilizers were purchased. As Deputy Governor Andrey Knorr noted, in the Tomsk region, the use of mineral fertilizers has almost quadrupled over 10 years; in 2022, an average of 40 kg of active substance per hectare will be applied. In the structure of mineral fertilizers, the share of complex (17.8%) and liquid (20.4%) fertilizers increased, which gives a significant increase in yield.
“Today we are faced with the task of ensuring food security and achieving self-sufficiency in the region, including by increasing the area under crops,” Andrey Knorr noted. One of the main tools in solving this problem, the vice-governor called the registration of municipal lands and their transfer to farmers on the terms of lease and redemption.
At a meeting with Asinovo and Pervomaisky agricultural producers, the Deputy Governor reminded about fire safety, the prevention of agricultural burns and the need to plow fields, and also presented awards to the best farmers based on the results of work in 2021.
This week, the vice-governor and the department for socio-economic development of the village will check the preparations for spring field work in the Zyryansky, Shegarsky and Tomsk regions.
