
These funds will be used for the construction and repair of social facilities and infrastructure in rural areas under the state program "Integrated Development of Rural Areas."
This was announced by Udmurtia's Head, Alexander Brechalov, at an extended staff meeting.
"The Russian Ministry of Agriculture will allocate a record sum of over 3.5 billion rubles to us in 2026. What does this mean for the republic's residents? These are dozens of facilities that we will build and repair throughout Udmurtia. We will continue building a children's art school and a wastewater treatment plant in Uva, begin construction of a community center in Kambarka, overhaul a number of social facilities in Balezino, and reconstruct the wastewater treatment plant there," said Alexander Brechalov.
According to the regional head, Udmurtia received approximately 1.2 billion rubles in federal funds annually, an excellent result. The republic was among the top six regions in the country for funding. Alexander Brechalov emphasized the importance of each project and instructed municipal heads to double-check all documents and sign contracts with contractors. "We must not just launch projects on the same day, but a day earlier," the Head emphasized.
This year, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture selected a list of long-term development plans for key settlements through 2028. Applications for the development of several districts in Udmurtia have already been approved. 2.1 billion rubles are planned for 2027, and 1.1 billion rubles for 2028. The total funding may be further increased through other program areas, such as public space improvements, housing construction, and road repairs.
Funding areas for 2026:
1. Road infrastructure: 588 million rubles for 17 road repair projects in Kambarka, Uva, Kezsky, Yak-Bodyinsky, Vavozhsky, and Seltinsky districts. Most of the roads will lead to agricultural facilities;
2. Housing construction: 304 million rubles for the construction of four low-rise residential complexes. 13 houses will be built in Seltakh, 10 in the village of Uzi, 10 in the village of Stepanenki and 40 in Yurino. The housing will be intended for agricultural workers;
3. Improvement: 38 million rubles for the improvement of rural areas. Among them are sports and playgrounds, street lighting, sidewalk repairs;
4. Social payments: 11 million rubles to complete the construction of housing for 6 families of agricultural workers;
5. And finally, over 2 billion rubles for the construction and repair of 26 facilities in Kambarka, Balezino, Seltakh, Uva and Sharkan.
- Construction of a Community Center will begin in Kambarka and fiber optic cable will be installed;
In Balezino, they will begin reconstruction of the wastewater treatment plant, and overhaul School No. 1, the Children's Art School, the Italmas and Malyshok kindergartens, the stadium, and the veterinary complex. Wi-Fi hotspots will also be installed in two public gardens.
In Selty, the Selty school, district library, and stadium will undergo major renovations. An outdoor sports complex and a multi-purpose playground will be built in the district center.
In Uva, construction will continue on a Children's Art School and a wastewater treatment plant. Two more sports fields will also be built in the village.
In Sharkan, construction is planned for an outdoor cultural and sports complex, a playground, and major renovations to the water supply system and a veterinary clinic.
The head of Udmurtia noted: "This was a large-scale application campaign covering three years in advance. I would like to thank the Russian Ministry of Agriculture for their trust. Over the years of program implementation, Udmurtia has already established a certain reputation within the federal agency for its work on the CRST program: we complete all projects precisely and on time. I thank the team of our ministry and municipalities; you did a great job."
