"This year, agricultural enterprises and farms plan to sow more than 865,000 hectares of land. Of this, 422,000 hectares are planned for sowing spring grains and legumes. The early spring has adjusted the agricultural calendar, prompting farmers to start quickly. of the Udmurt Republic, said: Seed treatment work has begun in 12 districts of Udmurtia. This is a process for treating seeds to destroy plant pathogens. To date, more than 7,000 tons have been treated. Mozhginsky District is among the leaders in seed treatment volumes, having treated more than 1,800 tons of seeds. Vavozhsky District treated 1,240 tons, Votkinsk District treated 830 tons, and Sharkansky District treated 785 tons. Uvinsky, Yukamensky, Zavyalovsky, Yakshur-Bodyinsky, Debessky, Kiznersky, Grakhovsky, and Syumsiysky Districts have also actively participated in the process. In Debessky District, farms
are treating flax seeds. Along with seed preparation, farmers are harrowing the soil, which involves loosening, mixing, and leveling the surface. Farms in the Vavozhsky and Votkinsk districts were among the first to begin this work. They cultivated 65 and 108 hectares of fallow land, respectively. Perennial grasses are also being harrowed in the Vavozhsky, Karakulinsky, Malopurginsky, and Uvinsky districts. This improves soil aeration and stimulates plant growth.
Fertilizing is an important step in preparing for the upcoming harvest.Winter crops . Fertilizer application has already begun in the Vavozhsky, Votkinsk, Malopurginsky, Mozhginsky, and Sharkansky districts. This will provide plants with the necessary nutrients for active development. Perennial grass fertilization is also being actively carried out in other districts, including the Vavozhsky, Debessky, Zavyalovsky, Kiyasovsky, Malopurginsky, Mozhginsky, Seltinsky, Uvinsky, and Sharkansky districts. In total, farms in the republic have already applied fertilizer to an area of ​​8,500 hectares.
