
According to Tomskstat, as of July 1, 2023, the number of cattle in the region amounted to 71.6 thousand heads, pigs - 269.3 thousand heads, poultry - 4285 thousand heads. The data includes calculations in farms of all categories, including agricultural organizations, peasant farms and personal subsidiary plots.
Compared to July 1, 2022, the number of cattle in agricultural organizations increased by 2.0% and pigs - by 2.9%. At the same time, the number of birds decreased by 3.9%.
In the first half of 2023, 79.6 thousand tons were produced for the slaughter of livestock and poultry (in live weight) (0.5% less than in the first half of 2022). MILK productionover this period increased by 2.4% and amounted to 72.6 thousand tons. Egg production decreased by 4.1% and amounted to 62.7 million pieces.
The main producers of livestock products are agricultural organizations, they produced 92.1% of livestock and poultry for slaughter (in live weight), 67.9% of milk.
