
This year, the farmers of the region plan to sow crops on 334.2 thousand hectares, which is 102.1% compared to last year.
Spring sowing will cover 216 thousand hectares (100.5% compared to last year), including the planned sown area of spring grain and leguminous crops will be 163 thousand hectares (+1.4%), industrial crops - 28.9 thousand hectares (+4.7%).
Winter crops for the 2023 harvest were sown on 14.3 thousand hectares, which is 11.7% more than in the previous agricultural season. it is planned to plant potatoes on an area of 1.6 thousand hectares (+4.2%), vegetables - on 0.58 thousand hectares (2.6%).
For variety change and variety renewal, farmers additionally purchased more than 6 thousand tons of seeds of higher reproductions.
In autumn and winter, enterprises took 421.4 thousand tons of organic fertilizers to the fields (108.8% compared to last year). In addition, 31.8 thousand tons of mineral fertilizers were purchased, of which 28.9 thousand tons have already been delivered to farms. The main supplier of mineral fertilizers has traditionally been TomskAgroInvest, which accounts for more than 30% of the supplied volumes.
The readiness of equipment in Tomsk farms is high: the tractor fleet is 88% ready for work, sowing complexes - 81%, seeders and tillage units - 87%.
“The estimated time for starting spring field work in 2023 is the third decade of April,” said Alexander Savenko, deputy HEAD of the department for socio-economic development of a village in the Tomsk region.
