The 12th Russian Open Plowing Championship concluded in the Leningrad Region
, bringing together 54 teams of machine operators from across the country and abroad. Professionals representing both large agricultural holdings and small farms demonstrated their plow skills. The Republic of Tatarstan sent two of its best machine operators to the competition: Irek Galiev from the Fayzi Galiev Agricultural Production Cooperative in the Atninsky District and Eduard Minnigalin from Soyuz Agro LLC in the Aznakayevsky District.
The competition, held from August 2nd to 10th, included evaluations of plowing quality, compliance with technology, and work speed. Participants competed using modern agricultural machinery, showcasing the latest advances in farming. An experienced panel of judges carefully assessed each plot, determining the winners in various categories.
Irek Galiev achieved particular success, taking second place in the prestigious Grand Prix category among winners of the past three years. His skill and extensive experience allowed him to demonstrate the highest level of excellence and outperform his competitors. Irek Galiev's victory is a well-deserved result of his hard work and dedication to his profession.
"The participation of Tatarstan machine operators in the championship was an important event for the republic's agro-industrial complex. This allowed us not only to demonstrate the high level of specialist training but also to exchange experiences with colleagues from other regions and learn about new farming technologies," noted Rafael Fattakhov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan.
