Tambov gardeners harvested more than 3.6 thousand tons of apples

In the Tambov region, active work is underway to harvest apples. To date, agricultural producers have harvested fruits from a quarter of all fruit-bearing areas. The gross harvest exceeds 3.6 thousand tons of apples.
The total collection area this year is 1640 hectares of orchards.
There are 12 specialized horticultural farms in the Tambov region.
The largest APPLE orchards are located in the Michurinsky district - they occupy 503 hectares. Over 400 hectares of gardens are located in the Pervomaisky district. Apples will be harvested from the same area in the Petrovsky district. To date, this region has made the largest contribution to the fruit basket of the region - more than 2.2 thousand tons. Half of the planned areas have been processed here.
Zherdevsky Fruit Nursery JSC shows the highest yield of apples - 200 q/ha. The gross harvest amounted to one thousand tons. 36% of orchards processed.
According to experts, in 2022 it is planned to harvest about 20 thousand tons of fruits in the agricultural enterprises of the region.
