Tambov fish farms increased productivity by almost 10%

According to the Department of Agriculture of the Tambov Region, according to the results of 2021, more than 224 tons of products were produced at local fish farms for growing fish in closed water supply installations. This is 109.8% compared to 2020.

The enterprises grow catfish, sturgeon, trout, produce caviar. These products are in demand both in the region and beyond.

Now in fish breeding complexes, work is underway to create conditions for incubation and obtaining fish fry. In addition, there are plans to increase the production of sterlet caviar.

Fish farms of the region show high productivity, effectively apply modern fish production technologies, successfully interact with trade structures.
it should be noted that fish farming in the Tambov region is represented not only by industrial farms, but also by pond farms, in which carp, silver carp, and grass carp are grown.

In pond farms, work is carried out annually to stock ponds with fish, improve the natural forage base to increase fish productivity, and carry out veterinary and sanitary measures.
