According to the operational data of the Department of Agriculture of the region, 45% of the harvest of grain and leguminous crops was harvested from the fields. The gross grain harvest exceeds 2 million tons.
The yield of grain crops was recorded at the level of almost 42 centners per hectare, which is significantly higher than last year's figures (33 centners per hectare). The increase in productivity was achieved through the use of modern technologies in crop production.
Harvesting work is carried out at a high pace. At the finish line, peas were harvested, more than half of winter wheat and barley were harvested.
The largest contribution to the Tambov loaf was made by the grain growers of the Petrovsky district - 163 thousand tons of grain. Over 100,000 tons of grain have been harvested in Tambov, Tokarevsky and Rzhaksinsky districts.
Growers of the Tambov region continue to harvest early varieties of potatoes and vegetables.
“In just a week, Tambov grain growers harvested another million tons of grain. Farmers work with maximum load. We are waiting for new records and hope that the weather will not let us down. Keep it up!” said Maxim Yegorov, Acting HEAD of the Administration of the Tambov Region.
