Tambov farmers threshed more than 3 million tons of grain

In the Tambov region, the harvesting campaign is going on at an active pace. To date, the gross harvest has exceeded 3 million tons of grain.
Grain crops have been harvested from 752,000 hectares, which is 68% of the total area of ​​grain and leguminous crops. The yield exceeds 41 centners per hectare, which is much more than last year's figures - 32 centners per hectare.
The threshed grain is of high quality, which is confirmed by the specialists of the elevator laboratories.
Such good indicators have been achieved through the use of modern technologies in crop production.
The harvest is going on in the fields with winter and spring wheat, peas, rye, barley, and oats.
“Tambov region needs more than 2.5 million tons of grain for its own needs. This task has already been completed, - said the acting head of the administration of the Tambov region Maxim Egorov. – Many thanks to our grain growers for their work. Thanks to them, we are improving the country's food security and increasing our export potential.”
