Tambov agrarians began harvesting vegetables in open ground

Agricultural producers of the Michurinsky and Kirsanovskiy districts of the Tambov region have begun harvesting early vegetable crops in open ground. According to the Regional Department of Agriculture, farmers are harvesting carrots and cucumbers from the fields.
This year, the sown area of ​​open ground vegetables in the region amounted to 370 hectares. Vegetable crops are grown by farmers of Kirsanovsky, Michurinsky, Pichaevsky, Staroyurevsky, Inzhavinsky, Tambov, Rzhaksinsky districts.
The farms of the Michurinsky district have the largest areas of open ground vegetables. Carrots, table beet, cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes are grown here.
In total, it is planned to harvest about 20 thousand tons of vegetables in 2022.
In the production of open ground vegetables, Tambov farmers use modern technologies, equipment and machinery. The farms have their own storage systems. Tambov vegetables are sold in the region and beyond.
