Stavropol Territory won two Grand Prix and 36 medals at the Russian Sheep and Goat Breeding Show

Stavropol sheep farms at the XXIII Russian exhibition in Dagestan, which was held from May 16 to 19, 2023, took 18 gold and 18 silver medals.
The owner of the highest Grand Prix award for the quality of goat MILK was Nadezhdensky Goat Dairy Complex LLC of the Shpakovsky Municipal District and Breeding Plant Vtoraya Pyatiletka SPK of the Ipatovsky City District for the quality of fine wool.
The second place of honor at the end of the exhibition was taken by the collective farm-stud farm “Manych” of the Apanasenkovsky municipal district, which presented sheep of the Russian MEAT merino and Manych merino breeds.
More than 80 leading sheep and goat breeding farms from 13 regions of RUSSIA took part in the exhibition, presenting more than 450 sheep and goats. Stavropol regionpresented 13 agricultural organizations with a total population of 87 sheep and goats.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory was thanked by the Exhibition Committee for active participation in the work of the XXIII Russian Exhibition of Pedigree Sheep and Goats.
The national courtyard of the Stavropol Territory "Cossack" for the demonstration of farmsteads, the preservation of national traditions, culture and identity was awarded a diploma of the Exhibition Committee.
For active participation in the work of the XXIII Russian exhibition of breeding sheep and goats, the Exhibition Committee declared gratitude to the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
“The awards received are a high and worthy assessment of our farms, it is the result of everyday work and dedication to our work. In total, they won 36 medals, 2 "Grand Prix", which is higher than the results of last year's exhibition. I would like to congratulate all the winners and thank you for the work done,” said Minister of Agriculture Sergei Izmalkov.
