A modular workshop with MILK processing equipment has opened on Elena Simakina's farm in the Vytegorsky District.
The equipment was purchased and installed using a grant of 8 million rubles, which the farmer received for processing her own milk last year. This support measure was introduced for the first time on the instructions of Governor Georgy Filimonov for the development of small farms.
The volume of milk sent for processing at the farm will be from 500 to 1000 liters per shift. The range of products will include: pasteurized drinking milk , baked milk, sour cream with a fat content of 25%, a fermented milk product,low-fat cottage cheese (with a fat content of less than 1.8%), Traditional butter
. Elena Simakina's farm contains 100 Ayrshire cows and employs five people. "The project is of socio-economic importance for the Vytegorsky District. Its implementation will contribute to the creation of new jobs. The main markets for farm products are the Vologda Region, and in the future, work is planned to find potential buyers in neighboring regions, such as the Arkhangelsk Region, the Murmansk Region, and the Republic of Karelia," the Department of Agriculture and Food Resources of the region commented.
Last year, two more farms received grants for the processing of their own agricultural products. This is a measure to support peasant farms and individual entrepreneurs, aimed at developing small farms, and is allocated for the processing of their own agricultural products - milk and MEAT. The maximum grant amount is 8 million rubles, the grant recipient's own funds for the project implementation must be at least 30% of the project cost.
Farms engaged in the production of milk and meat, at the expense of the grant funds, can purchase modular production facilities for processing milk, slaughtering cattle and processing meat, as well as purchase tools, equipment, carry out its installation and commissioning.
Support for small farms contributes to the achievement of the goal of the national project "Technological Support for Food Security" to provide Russians with high-quality food products.
