Seven USAU students were awarded personal scholarships from the governor

The results of the competition for a scholarship from the governor of the Sverdlovsk region in the 2023-2024 academic year have been announced.
In accordance with the Decree of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region E.V. Kuyvasheva No. 547-UG dated November 22, 2023, seven students of the Ural Agrarian State University were among the best undergraduate and graduate students of Ural universities:
- Anna Daut, 5th year student of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Expertise,
- Dmitry Shumkov, 4th year student of the Faculty of Agricultural Technologies and Land Management,
- Evgenia Saltseva, 3rd year student of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering,
- Ekaterina Tyshchenko, 3rd year student of the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education,
- Umedjon Boev, 2nd year Master's student of the Faculty of Agricultural Technologies and Land Management,
- Vladislav Surgaev, 2nd year Master's student of the Faculty of Engineering Technologies,
- Daria Korolkova-Subbotkina, graduate student at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Engineering.
“We are always proud of the successes of our guys and try to motivate and support their initiatives. it is great that there is scholarship support from the governor for the best students. I wish the guys further success and reaching new heights. It is imperative to participate in competitions, Olympiads, grants and use all opportunities for self-realization, because this is a very exciting process,” said Olga Loretz, Rector of the Ural State Agrarian University, DOCTOR of Biological Sciences, Professor.
This year, more than 200 undergraduate and graduate students of Ural universities received scholarships from the governor of the Sverdlovsk region for excellence in their studies, successful participation in scientific competitions, conferences and research activities. On December 6, First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Alexey Shmykov presented the awards to the scholarship recipients on behalf of the HEAD of the region, Evgeny Kuyvashev.
“Today we honor the best representatives of the Ural student youth. For more than 20 years, the achievements of undergraduate and graduate students have been recognized by the Governor's Scholarship. During this time, over 11 thousand people received such support. We will continue to preserve this wonderful tradition, because investing in our talented, thoughtful and active youth is an investment in the future of the Sverdlovsk region. This is not the first time that many young people have received the governor’s scholarship, which confirms their focus on the highest results,” said Alexey Shmykov.
In 2023, 35 graduate students, 120 university students, and 68 secondary vocational students received scholarships from the governor of the Sverdlovsk region. Thus, postgraduate laureates received payments in the amount of 24 thousand rubles, university students and students of secondary vocational education organizations – in the amount of 18 thousand rubles and 10.8 thousand rubles, respectively.
Reference. Scholarships from the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region for graduate students and students of universities, colleges and technical schools in the region were established in 1995 to support the best students. This initiative was supported by the Council of Rectors of Higher Professional Education Institutions of the Sverdlovsk Region.
