Agricultural producers of the Voronezh region will be able to insure crops under the new program

This year, Russian farmers have access to a new program of insurance of crops and plantings of perennial plantings in the event of an emergency (hereinafter referred to as an emergency), which farmers can use along with the already existing multi-risk crop insurance system.
In the system of agricultural insurance with state support, the traditional multi-risk program of insurance of crops against loss (death) remains available, which will still cost at least 50% of the cost of the policy for the agrarian.
The Department of Agrarian Policy of the Voronezh Region makes payments to relieve the financial burden of a part of the cost of an insurance policy for crops with state support from the impact of natural hazards, in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Voronezh Region dated 07.02.2018 No. 106 “On approval of the procedure for providing subsidies from the regional budget to agricultural producers, for with the exception of citizens leading private subsidiary plots and agricultural credit consumer cooperatives, for reimbursement of part of the costs of paying insurance premiums accrued under agricultural insurance contracts in the field of crop production and (or) animal husbandry, and (or) objects of commercial aquaculture (commercial fish farming) " .
Due to the fact that only insurance companies compensate for crop losses (in the event of an insured event), it is recommended to pay special attention to this investment protection measure.
Some insurance companies expressed their readiness to offer farmers policies under a new crop insurance program against the risk of death as a result of emergencies in 2022. Agricultural producers will be able to issue such a policy on the terms of state support.
