Agricultural organizations of Transbaikalia completed potato harvesting

The potato harvest in agro-industrial enterprises and peasant (farm) farms in the Trans-Baikal Territory amounted to almost 10 thousand tons, said Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the region Alexander Tyukavkin.

“Trans-Baikal agricultural organizations have completed harvesting potatoes, which have been harvested from an area of ​​798 hectares. According to preliminary data, the gross harvest amounted to 9.7 thousand tons. The average yield was 120 q/ha. Despite the difficult weather conditions of the past summer and heavy rainfall in September, our farms managed to get a harvest at the level of last year,” the Deputy Minister said.

The leader in potato harvesting was the Chita region, whose agricultural enterprises dug up 6.3 thousand tons. Agrarians of the Uletovsky district received 1.5 thousand tons. Slightly less than 1 thousand tons of potatoes were harvested by the farms of the Olovyanninsky district.
