An agricultural cluster is being formed at the Yelets site of the Lipetsk special economic zone

it already includes four companies specializing in the production and storage of plant protection products and seeds.
Lipetsk Region Governor Igor Artamonov visited the Yelets site of the Lipetsk SEZ, where he got acquainted with three ongoing investment projects. The construction of the August Logistics logistics center has been completed here. It will be officially launched after the registration and licensing process in the relevant departments is completed. Investments amounted to 1.5 billion rubles. The area of ​​the logistics center warehouse is 10.8 thousand m². It is designed for 26 thousand pallet spaces and will be able to accommodate up to 16 thousand tons of finished products. Plant protection products, which are produced by August specialists in Chuvashia, Tatarstan and Belarus, will be stored here. The logistics center will also perform distribution and sorting functions for storing plant protection products for agricultural enterprises, as well as delivering them to agricultural producers in the Central and Southern Federal Districts. These are Tambov, Oryol, Kursk, Rostov regions, and Krasnodar Krai. The new regional distribution center in the Lipetsk SEZ is the first such project of the August company.
Shans Enterprise LLC is also going to open a logistics center. The project of the future warehouse was presented to the governor. Investments will amount to 3.24 billion rubles. The company specializes in the production of plant protection products, produces more than 100 types of drugs and ranks 4th among Russian manufacturers. The plant was launched in October 2020. The total investment amounted to 6.5 billion rubles. Since the opening of the plant, 49 million liters of various plant protection products of its own formulation have been produced. Close cooperation has been established with scientific organizations and leading Russian agricultural holdings. Shans Enterprise is implementing 4 investment projects for a total of 1.448 billion rubles. They are aimed at technical re-equipment of workshops, optimization and automation of production processes for the release of import-substituting products.
Igor Artamonov also visited the company Syngenta, which produces more than half of its crop protection products locally and is steadily increasing its share of production in RUSSIA. The construction of a herbicide plant with a capacity of 5 million liters per year at the Yelets site of the Lipetsk SEZ was completed in 2022. Investments in the project amounted to 2.3 billion rubles. " Work
continues at the Yelets siteon new projects. The company "Agrotek" is building a plant for processing seeds of grain legumes, and "Eletskipagro" is building a new logistics complex. These enterprises form the basis of the agro-industrial development of the region in terms of providing plant protection products and fertilizers. And the people who work here are mainly residents of Yelets and the Yelets district. Almost 600 jobs have been created at the enterprises of this SEZ site," noted Igor Artamonov.
