Gardeners of Kabardino-Balkaria intend to collect fruits and berries more than last year's harvest

In the orchards of Kabardino-Balkaria, agrarians have begun mass collection of late varieties of apples that are subject to long-term storage. Apples make up the bulk of fruit and berry products grown in the republic.
According to operational data, agricultural organizations, farms and individual entrepreneurs of Kabardino-Balkaria have collected more than 200 thousand tons of various fruits and berries since the beginning of this year. The organized sector accounts for slightly more than half of the fruit and berry products harvested in the republic, the rest is harvested in households.
As gardeners note, the current year turned out to be favorable for most fruit and berry crops, including plums, pears, Apple trees, raspberries, cherries and cherries, garden strawberries, and, accordingly, IT is expected to harvest more than last year. In 2021, the gross harvest of fruits and berries in all categories of KBR farms amounted to 535.5 thousand tons.
