
Russian gardeners are steadily increasing the production of fruit and berry crops: according to preliminary data, last year about 1.4 million tons of products were harvested in the organized sector of the country. According to statistics from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Saratov Region, in the region in 2021, 83.6 thousand tons of fruits and berries were harvested in all categories of farms, including 30.1 thousand tons in agricultural enterprises and peasant farms.
For the period from 2016 to 2020, more than 2800 hectares of perennial fruit plantations were planted in the region, including more than 2260 hectares of intensive type orchards. Last year, gardens were planted on an area of 782 hectares, including 668 hectares of intensive gardens.
Today, a wide range of state support measures are available to gardeners, including incentive subsidies for the establishment and care of perennial fruit and berry plantations, concessional investment and short-term loans, compensation for direct costs incurred for the creation and modernization of agricultural facilities.
For gardeners in the Saratov region, state support measures are provided to reimburse part of the cost of establishing perennial plantations, including nurseries, part of the cost of caring for perennial plantations, and a number of other areas.
Thus, in 2021, 206.1 million rubles were funded to reimburse part of the costs of establishing and caring for perennial plantations, including nurseries.
"One of the key tasks of the industry is to provide the population of the region with fresh, high-quality fruit and vegetable products and products of its processing, in the future - strengthening human resources, providing farmers with affordable high-tech special equipment," says Roman Kovalsky, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture of the region.
