The harvesting campaign in the Ivanovo region is gaining momentum. Currently, work is underway on farms in 17 districts of the region.
As of August 9, farmers harvested 28.1 thousand tons of grain, with an average yield of 24 q/ha. Cereals and leguminous crops have been threshed from an area of ​​12 thousand hectares, or 17.3% of the harvesting plan.
The largest amount of grain was threshed by the farms of Gavrilovo-Posadsky - 14.5 thousand tons (yield of 31.9 centners per hectare), Rodnikovsky - 3.5 thousand tons, Privolzhsky - 2.3 thousand tons and Shuisky - 2.3 thousand. tons - areas.
In the farms of Kineshma, Privolzhsky, Teikovsky and Shuisky districts, vegetable crops are harvested. In general, 53 hectares of vegetable crops were harvested in the region, or 11.1% of the plan, 542 tons of vegetables were harvested. The yield of vegetables is 102.3 q/ha.
In addition, the sowing of winter crops for the 2023 harvest has begun in the region. Winter sowing was carried out on an area of ​​400 hectares. According to Denis Cherkesov, DIRECTOR of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the region, this year agricultural producers plan to carry out winter sowing on an area of ​​26,000 hectares.
We add that fodder is being harvested in the region. In agricultural enterprises and peasant (private) farms, fodder crops have been mowed on an area of ​​50.2 thousand hectares. 66.7 thousand tons of roughage were harvested, including 34.5 thousand tons of hay and 30.3 thousand tons of haylage. 188.5 thousand tons of succulent fodder were harvested. At the moment, based on the conditional HEAD of livestock, on average, the region has stocked rough and succulent fodder for 12 q of fodder units.
