Compared to last year's figures, greenhouse vegetable production in the Saratov Region has increased by 14%. This was reported by the Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government –Regional Agriculture Minister Roman Kovalsky visited Sovkhoz Vesna JSC.
He reported that 3,031 tons of vegetables have been produced in the region's greenhouses this year (compared to 2,653 tons in 2023), including 2,984 tons of cucumbers and 47 tons of other vegetables.
The development of greenhouse vegetable production is being facilitated by the current set of government support measures and the implementation of major investment projects.
