Since the beginning of 2024, Chuvashia has exported 546 tons of potatoes

As part of the implementation of the regional project “Export of Agricultural Products” of the national project “International Cooperation and Export”, which is being implemented on the initiative of the President of Russia V.V. Putin, potato exports are increasing.
“Seed and food potatoes from Chuvashia were appreciated in Serbia and Azerbaijan - the region sent 546 tons of “second bread” to these countries. We will also present domestic varieties at the Interregional Exhibition “Potato-2024” on February 29 and March 1 in Cheboksary,” noted the Deputy Prime Minister,Minister of Agriculture of Chuvashia Sergei Artamonov.
Since the beginning of 2024 , a total of 2.75 thousand tons of products have been shipped for export, including 0.54 thousand tons of potatoes. Among the “potato” exporters were individual entrepreneur D.M. Pechurina. and Agrokhmel LLC.
During the same period in 2023, no potatoes were shipped from the territory of the Chuvash Republic.
Before shipment, laboratory tests and analysis of the quarantine phytosanitary condition were carried out. Based on the results of examinations by the Rosselkhoznadzor Office for the Chuvash Republic and the Ulyanovsk Region, it was noted that the quality of the potatoes met the requirements of the countries receiving the products.
